A wealth of research supports the fact that vitamins B complex, C, D, and E are vital for brain health. Vitamins B complex and C play a crucial role in energy production, while vitamins E and C fight free radicals, protect the nerves, and preserve brain function.

• Substitute refined grains (rice and biscuits) with whole grains (red rice and oats)
• Choose colorful vegetables especially those that are orange, yellow, or dark green. Season with herbs and spices such as turmeric powder instead of MSG, salt, and refined sugars
• Substitute butter with olive oil
• Snack on nuts such as walnuts, pistachios, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds instead of chips and sweets
