Zinc deficiency and eczema

Zinc helps maintain healthy skin and is especially important for the healing of wounds and skin growth.


Studies have shown that people suffering from eczema exhibit relatively low levels of zinc, so it is important to ensure we have an adequate intake of zinc everyday.


Foods high in zinc include: mushrooms, nuts, yogurt, chickpeas, spinach, and beef, to name a few.


At present, scientists have not been able to prove that taking zinc supplements can help maintain healthy skin, so it is best to get your daily dose of zinc the natural way by eating the right foods.
