Coconut water or sports drink?

After exercise, we usually have lose water and salt from our sweat, therefore, some of us may have some sports drinks afterwards. Sports drinks usually contain C for restoring water and salts back to the body. Sports drink is good source of potassium and they may also contain small amounts of sodium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorous. It helps us replenish the lost electrolytes and water back into our bodies and help maintain the electrolytes within the normal ranges. 

Coconut water, may contain even more potassium when compared to many sports drinks on the market. In other words, there will be higher rate of electrolyzation taking place in the body. As it is also relatively lower in sugar and calories, it could be a healthier drink for those trying to control body weight.

It is also important for us to choose plain coconut water without added sugar, or else, it’s could be the same as drinking sugary beverages.
