How should we eat chia seeds?

Rich in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, andantioxidants, chia seeds are a superfood known for their water-absorbing properties. After being soaked in water, chia seeds develop a gelatinous coating, which helps with satiety. So how does one go about eating chia seeds?

Start with two teaspoons of chia seeds daily (this may be increased to 13 to 20 g, or 1 to 1.5 tablespoons later). Soak the seeds in cold or warm water for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they become gelatinous in texture, then mix them into hot cereals or other dishes.
