The Benefits of Dried Fruits

Have you ever considered snacking on dried fruits? Raisins, prunes, apricots, and figs are all excellent sources of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals, the latter of which include phenolic compounds, which help protect against some neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. One important thing to note is that dried fruit is dehydrated into a concentrated form of whole fruit, so calorically speaking, a handful per serving is already enough!
