| Launch Ceremony of Adventist Health Mothers Club |
|
| Date:
19 September, 2010 |
| Venue:
Tsuen Wan Plaza |
The newly-formed Adventist Health Mothers Club held their launch ceremony at Tsuen Wan Plaza on 19 September, 2010. The club, formed by a group of mothers who shared their journey to parenthood by all delivering their babies at TWAH, will aim to provide emotional support and encouragement for all soon-to-be and new mothers.
The occasion was marked by a baby massage competition which was judged by the supervisor of Yang Memorial Methodist Social Services, Miss Lee Yuen Sim, and Tsuen Wan District Councilor Mr Wang Yui Tak with other guests.
In total, 18 teams of parents and babies took part in the competition with a demonstration on the advantages and techniques of baby massage by nurses. Four teams were declared the winners after two exciting rounds conducted in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The event also promoted the importance of the family unit and included a discussion on autism by Dr. Anthony Ng, specialist of Paediatrics. |
