Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Tsuen Wan Introduces the Hugo Robotic-Assisted Surgery System, Ushering in a New Era of Intelligent Minimally Invasive Surgery!

Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Tsuen Wan has become the first private hospital in Hong Kong to introduce the globally leading Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system, bringing a major breakthrough to minimally invasive surgery. The system combines artificial intelligence, high-resolution 3D imaging, and precision robotic-arm technology to significantly enhance surgical accuracy and speed up patients’ recovery.

Featuring four modular robotic arms, the system offers flexible movement and rapid positioning, enabling it to adapt to a wide range of complex procedures while promoting better teamwork. It is also equipped with an ergonomic 3D HD display, allowing doctors to maintain clearer vision and better physical comfort during lengthy operations.

Patients can generally be discharged within three to four days after surgery. With smaller wounds and a lower risk of bleeding, their quality of life can be greatly improved. The hospital has also launched two surgical packages: robotic-assisted partial or total nephrectomy, which helps preserve more kidney function; and robotic-assisted prostatectomy, which reduces the risk of bleeding and complications.

The medical team at Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Tsuen Wan has fully mastered this new technology. The introduction of the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system is not only an important milestone in medical innovation, but also a continuation of the hospital’s commitment to its patients. The hospital will lead a new era of intelligent minimally invasive surgery, providing more efficient, safer, and more compassionate medical services.
