Orthodontic treatment:
Orthodontic treatment is a way of straightening or moving teeth, to improve the appearance of the teeth and reduce the risk of dental disease caused by malocclusions. The orthodontic appliance is used to gradually move the teeth to a more ideal position, thus improving the alignment and occlusion. We provide Invisalign treatment which is a more comfortable and low-profile option. The treatment can vary depending on individual patient needs and conditions. Please go for a check-up and discuss with your dentist before treatment begins.
Restorative Treatment:
Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing and replacing damaged or missing teeth to restore their function, appearance, and health, encompassing various treatments like fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants.
Periodontal Treatment:
To maintain good oral health, teeth cleaning and gum care once a year or half year by a dental surgeon is encouraged. Laser therapy is also available for advanced periodontal disease.
Paediatric Dentistry:
The conditions of the children’s teeth will affect their health, psychological development and social life. Therefore, parents must not ignore their children’s oral health conditions. According to the suggestion of the Department of Health, parents should take their child for the first dental check-up within six months after the first tooth appears. A regular dental check-up is also important to children.
Our experienced and caring Paedodontic specialist and staff will take special care of children, providing with oral care and dental disease prevention treatments, encouraging and educating them in good oral health care.
The scope of services for children's dentistry is very extensive. We provide children's oral hygiene and gum health check-ups, as well as related services such as teeth cleaning, cavity prevention, and treatment. In addition, we also handle Dental filling, root canal treatment and tooth extraction for baby teeth. Dental treatments under monitored anesthesia care (MAC) or general anesthesia (GA) could be arranged for children with special needs.
Endodontic Treatment:
Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal treatment, is a dental procedure to remove infected or inflamed pulp tissue from inside a tooth, cleaning and sealing the root canals to save a tooth that would otherwise need extraction. It is performed when decay, trauma, or repeated dental procedures cause the pulp (containing nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue) to become infected or die, leading to pain and potential infection in the tooth and surrounding bone.
Prosthodontic Treatment and Dental Implants:
Prosthodontics involves replacing missing teeth with artificial teeth, thus maintaining efficient mastication and ensuring an attractive smile. Treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome and the installation of dental implants are also available.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery:
This type of surgery includes dental extractions; treatment of impacted wisdom teeth, tumours, cysts, oral pathology, and other abnormalities of the mouth and jaws, orthognathic surgery, and management of facial pain, dentofacial deformities, dentoalveolar surgery and oral maxillofacial trauma.
Laser Dental Treatment:
Most people do not enjoy visiting the dentist due to a fear of pain, or the unnerving sound and vibrations of the drill. HKAH–TW was the first medical institution in Hong Kong to introduce dental laser treatment, which reduces patient discomfort and shortens recovery time.
