Hong Kong Adventist Hospital (HKAH) and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation (HKAHF) hosted the Shave, Cut & Save Press Conference on September 6, 2018, at Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Stubbs Road campus, to announce the upcoming fundraising event, “Adventist’s Got Talent”. Officiating guests included Mr. Alex Lan, Hong Kong Adventist Hospital President and CEO, Prof. Alice Chiu, BBS, JP, Chairman of Board of Governors (Tsuen Wan), Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation, Dr. Chan Lung Wai, Co-chairman of Medical Fund (Tsuen Wan), Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation, Ms. Jo Soo-Tang, Chairman of Board of Governors (Stubbs Road), Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation, Mr. Wong Wai Kit, member of Board of Governors (Tsuen Wan), Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation, Ms. Huang, a stage 4 lung cancer patient and one of Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation’s beneficiaries, and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation Ambassadors, Mr. Kim Robinson and Ms. Ana R.
“Adventist’s Got Talent” aims to raise much-needed donations for the Medical Fund (Tsuen Wan) in order to support patients who lack access to financial means and medical care. All proceeds from this event will be directed to both medical cases such as Cardiology, Oncology, and Orthopedics, and charity programs. The charity programs, including the Diagnostic Imaging Charity Program, are designed to restore hope, joy, and quality of life for beneficiaries who are plagued by chronic illness, suffering, and uncertainty.
