We delivered 500 care packages over five rounds of distribution. Even at the height of COVID, with restrictions on in-person visitations, we continued to care for families in need via keeping in contact over 845 phone calls. About 500 families benefited. Further, we referred seven people to our charity medical services.
Pastor Chu of Mountain View Church, a co-organizer, said that besides providing material assistance, the follow-up phone calls and in-person visits made beneficiaries feel less lonely. Particularly for single elderlies living alone, "It is nice to know that there are still people in the community who care for [us]."
