Eating for two?

The pregnancy myth of ‘eating double portions’ is still popular among momstobe. It sounds right because they have a little human growing inside their bodies, but is it really the case? Not at all! Most expectant moms only require 300 calories more on top of their usual diet and that’s already enough to provide the necessary nutrients for their babies.

What are the healthy choices that contain 300 calories?
1) 1 cup of breakfast cereal + an 8-oz cup of skimmed milk + 1 banana
2) 150ml of Greek yogurt + 1 cup of blueberries + ½ cup of granola
3) 1 boiled potato + ¼ cup of Greek yogurt
4) ½ cup of dried fruits and nuts
5) ½ avocado + 1 slice of whole wheat bread
