Pharmacy Our pharmacy provides a full range of services and is operated by a team of qualified, caring and experienced pharmacists and dispensers. Our professional staff is committed to providing superb pharmaceutical care to our patients, and they actively enroll in continuous education to keep updated on drug and therapeutic information. In the selection of drug products, quality has always been one of our main criteria. Since 1984, our Pharmacy has been using a computerized drug distribution system. A complete electronic medication profile is kept for each inpatient to ensure the continuity of the drug treatment during their hospitalization. In 1988, we introduced computerized Chinese drug labeling for outpatient dispensing. The computerized format is not only able to provide a neat and tidy presentation, but it also increases the efficiency of the outpatient dispensing service, and informs the patient of the name of drug, dosage and its effects. In fact, we were the first hospital in Hong Kong to provide electronic Chinese drug labels. The Pharmacy staff is responsible for making sure that our patients receive the best and the most appropriate medication therapy. This goal is met through the collaboration with physicians and nurses both in the hospital and in the community.
