Obstetrics (Maternity) - Immunisation Immunisation of the Newborn All babies born at Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital receive comprehensive immunisation before discharge. These include polio, hepatitis B, BCG (for tuberculosis). Babies born to hepatitis B mothers are also given immunoglobulin during the first 24 hours of life. Parents are free to choose to continue government recommended immunisation at either our Hospital's Infant Health Programme, or at any local Government run Maternal Child Health Clinic. Parents will be given a record of the immunisation received whilst at the Hospital.
